Relentless

Week 3 | Day 2

Read John 4:7, 9-30

It is easy for us to focus on the needs that are right in front of us isn’t it. Often we want quick fixes, even if they are temporary. Jesus side steps the quick fix, temporary solving of an issue and shoots straight for the heart in His interaction with this woman at the well. Look at what He says.

Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.

The woman immediately responds by saying…..I want that! Let me drink of this water so that i wot be thirsty again. And then Jesus proceeds to tell her that He is the water, He is the well that will never run dry.

When it comes to Jesus, He doesn’t just want to help us now in the immediate, He wants to help us and our friends in an eternal sense. Jesus tells us Himself in Luke 10:10…..

“…for the Son of man came to seek and save the lost….”

Jesus isn’t just interested in helping us, He is interested in saving us. Understand that Jesus wants to use you to help your friend or family member in reaching eternity with God in heaven. What an incredible opportunity and privilege we have in inviting our friends to get in front of the gospel.

Take a moment right now to pray for friend or family member. Pray that God will fill you with an urgency to share the good news about Jesus with them. Pray that God will give you the boldness needed to invited them to be your guest on Easter at Covenant.
